ARALIA AZALEAS
Now I plan to be bold
a story will be told.
‘Tis the story of azaleas
that grow throughout Aralia.
Azaleas grow here, azaleas grow there,
azaleas grow everywhere.
Red, white, pink, - many tints and hues.
Your choice, my choice
whatever you may choose.
The azaleas are all blazing in glory.
But, once in a while comes
a hitch to the story.
A gusting wind, black clouds
and HEAVY rain.
No saving of the azaleas –
all loss, no gain.
Sodden, drooping
like heads in shame.
But, don’t cry; let’s
see a smile.
As I told you before
it only rains once in a while!
